Donna has worked as a registered nurse in various capacities since 2010. She understands that mental health affects every aspect of living, and that there is a vast difference between “surviving” and “living.” Donna believes that there can be more to life than “just surviving” and is dedicated to helping others find lives worth living. Donna has had a keen sense of empathy since early childhood and views each person as rare, valuable, and unique. She believes that human beings consist of so much more than bodies, minds, and spirits, all of which must align to maintain the total wellbeing of an individual. Each person and their environment that affects them is more than a number, diagnosis, or billing code. Donna believes in getting to know each person to tailor a personalized wellness plan that brings the many aspects of mental wellbeing into alignment. She believes in educating, motivating, and involving her patients in their care as each is the most important character in their own story; she has an exceptional ability to explain complex material in an understandable manner. Donna plans to combine medication management with an assortment of psychotherapy techniques to optimize each visit. She takes pride in working collaboratively with other providers to ensure that every person receives the best care possible. She is always open to questions and suggestions and understands that feedback is an important part of care improvement. Donna graduated with honours from Linfield College in Portland, Oregon, and with honours from Spring Arbor University in Spring Arbor, Michigan. She plans on obtaining a doctorate of nursing practice in the near future.

About Donna: “Helping others is my favourite thing to do aside from being a mom. I, too, have lived life and have needed a hand up more than a time or two, and I feel privileged that I can give back to others in the capacity of a psychiatric specialist. I owe it to those I serve to get it right. I was born and raised in the Texas Hill Country but have lived in the Northwest for most of my life. My husband is from the Bitterroot Valley (countless generations), and I am so proud to call the beautiful Bitterroot Valley home. My husband and I enjoy raising our son. We also have a rascally Siberian kitty! I am a kid at heart and enjoy the unique complexities of life, even down to the cellular level of living processes! Life is amazing and it is a privilege! I deeply love my family and friends, and I also enjoy nature, music, science, art, puzzles, physics theories, and antiques!"
